If you are a desktop flight simulation enthusiast or a pilot looking for more information about how desktop flight simulation can benefit you—this event is for you!

FlightSimCon is an annual aviation and flight simulation conference designed to bring pilots and flight simmers together in an interactive social setting. Conference attendees have the opportunity to meet other simulation enthusiasts, experience how online flight simulation can benefit student and rated pilots, and engage with exhibitors and speakers to learn about improving their desktop flight simulators.

FlightSimCon 2017 is being held at The Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT, approximately 20 minutes north of Hartford. With hotel and conference rooms overlooking the airport tarmac, the hotel is the ideal venue for an aviation focused conference. Surrounded by the biggest names in flight simulation, conference attendees can immerse themselves in all facets of virtual and real-world flying during the two-day event.

What's New in 2017

Based on feedback from previous year's conferences, we are excited to announce a variety of new features for FlightSimCon 2017. Continue reading for the major highlights and improvements that you can expect.

  • Venue

    Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport


    With far more space than previous conference venues, the Sheraton Bradley hotel provides greater flexibility for conference exhibitors and attendees. Expect longer conference hours, a larger series of speakers and breakout sessions running in multiple conference rooms, and advanced check-in available on Friday.

    Communication Platform


    Access the conference schedule, receive important announcements, and chat directly with other conference members...all from your phone! FlightSimCon has partnered with Whova App for the 2017 event to provide attendees with an easier way of accessing information and connecting with each other.

  • Themed Events

    Better Social Experience


    Each day of this year's conference will center around one of two themes: the flight simulator community in general, and flight simulation's benefit towards real-world pilot training. Also expect themed tables during our Saturday evening social to better connect with attendees about specific flight simulator topics.

On-site registration is available begining at 7:30 am on Saturday, June 10.


FlightSimCon 2017 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 10-11, 2017. The event will take over the Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley International Airport, with exhibits on two levels across the hotel. Early conference check-in and registration will be available from 4-6pm on Friday, June 9.

This initial schedule is subject to change. Please check back regularly for the latest updates. The final schedule will be published as we approach the event.

Conference Day 1

Saturday, June 10 is the first day of FlightSimCon 2017. Activites start at 9:00am and and access to the exhibitor floor begins at 9:30am. Seminars and demonstrations continue throughout the day until approximately 5:00pm.

At the end of the day, a social will be held in the lobby area of the Sheraton Hotel from 5:00pm-6:30pm.

The Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport is the host hotel for FlightSimCon 2017, as it offers airside accommodation with sightlines of the runway and terminal in addition to hosting the actual conference. At this point, the discounted room block is full and the hotel is completely sold out for the event. However, there are several nearby hotels with reasonable rates.

Some other hotel options are within a short distance of the Bradley International Airport are listed below. Please note that we do not have special room blocks at these hotels, but the rates are reasonable. Please visit their websites for details, or see the Bradley International Airport website for a complete listing of area hotels. Attendees staying at local area hotels will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the Sheraton Bradley Airport. Most hotels have shuttles available for use, but attendees should confirm prior to booking. Uber and taxis are also available in the area; a ride to the conference venue is under $10 one-way.

Getting Here

Air Travel

Attendees flying commercially should fly to Bradley International Airport (BDL), served by all major airlines. A direct trans-Atlantic flight is available through Dublin via Aer Lingus.

Pilots flying in to the event are encouraged to park at our partner FBO, Signature KBDL. With a small fuel purchase, all airport fees are waived for attendees of FlightSimCon. Please reserve with Jeremy at (860) 305 7334 or jeremy.palmer@signatureflight.com.

Ground Travel

The Sheraton Hotel at Bradley Airport is located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. For participants driving to the event, it is located approximately 3 hours from New York or 2 hours from Boston. Click here for driving directions.

The area is also served by Amtrak train and Peter Pan or Greyhound Bus services. Train and bus passengers will arrive in Union Station in Hartford. A taxi ride is approximately $45 one-way from Hartford Union Station to the Sheraton. An additional option is the Bradley Flyer Bus, which offers low-fare public transportation and runs daily.

Parking and Ride Sharing

Complimentary parking will be offered for all conference attendees via both the Sheraton Hartford Hotel parking garage and validated parking in one of the Bradley Airport daily lots. More information will be sent to attendees as the conference nears.

Also note that many area hotels offer free shuttle service to Bradley Airport, including the Sheraton Hotel. Additionally, FlightSimCon attendees who are either driving in or renting a car may be able to offer rides. Uber and other ride sharing companies are generally available in the Windsor Locks area.
